Family owned and operated by Harry and Cindy Cohen, the Firehouse Tavern
has been providing fine food and spirits in the Parkville area since 1986.
Serving a delicious full menu, as well as providing pool tables, dartboards
and shuffleboard, the Firehouse Tavern truly has something for everyone.
Whether people come in for the Monday night dart leagues, the Sunday night
Karaoke or just to grab dinner and the game with the family, the Firehouse
Tavern has the warm welcome feel that only a neighborhood bar can.

Thrust into the limelight quite accidentally in the year 2000, the Firehouse Tavern found itself part of local lore
on August 14th when a
|
| car leading Baltimore County Police in a high-speed chase, careened off
another automobile and crashed through the west wall of the building. Pinning patrons against the walls, bar and
pool tables, the accident sent eight seriously injured people to the hospital |

| and left another 11 with head, back and neck traumas. Although no one was killed
it |
 |
 |
|
| looked as if the building itself might become a fatality, as the Baltimore County
Fire Department's "Cave-In Unit" had to be called to brace the structure and keep it from collapsing.

Ironically though, it was this event that led to the total rebirth of the bar and restaurant. The time was right to
give the Joppa Rd landmark a complete facelift and a major renovation was set off, turning it into the place it is
today: a tavern in the classic style with hardwood floors, brass fixtures and lots of comfortable seating.

We are proud of the fact that we continue to be one of the most popular destinations in Baltimore County for people
seeking good food and fun. Come in and find out for yourself why.
